Electronic Flight Bag (EFB)

WHY LEARN GLOBAL REPORTING FORMAT (GRF)?
- This training is suitable for both winter and tropical runway surface conditions
- The objective to give relevant, reliable information on the runway surface condition.
- Explain the need for and fundamental requirements of the GRF for assessing and reporting runway conditions
- Describe factors that require adjustment for braking and accelerating in order to account for runway conditions
- A standardized method of reporting in relation to airplane performance data.
- Improving the safety of airport operations.
- Complete a Runway Condition Report (RCR) to assess the performance of a take-off and landing
- Summarize the end-to-end process of assessing and reporting runway conditions
In an increasingly electronic age, new ways of safely digitizing aviation are being implemented. One such system is the Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) aiming to replace document-filled bags. Scandlearn has created animated training giving flight crew a true visual account of how an EFB works and what it can include.
EFBs prove to be efficient and a money saver, but going from paper to paperless is a big leap, so practice is required. Our visual course includes a thorough analysis of EFBs, including in-flight failures of such devices with steps to take should the batteries create a fire hazard.
Course Structure
The Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) training structures all the course content into four modules.
