Reduced Required Landing Distance (RRLD) is made for business jet operators to increase business opportunities and reach 30% more airports. With RRLD you can be credited more by the length of the runway and take a higher payload with goods and passengers. With a RRLD approval, you get better regularity, which increases the possibility of carrying out more flights.

This RRLD online training is made to give primarily flight crews a good understanding of the regulation and procedures. This course will cover what conditions must be met and how to apply reduced required landing distance procedures of 20%.

An approved flight crew is eligible to operate the RRLD type of training with a turbo-jet aircraft. The flight must be categorized as commercial air transport, non-scheduled and on-demand, in other words business aviation. The aircraft intended to be used must have a seating capacity with less than 19 passengers or less and a maximum certified take off mass of 45,360 kgs. or less. Remember to have an eligibility statement for RRLD in its aircraft flight manual.

This training program complies with EASA Regulation AMC1 CAT.A.POL.255. EASA has outlined a list of restrictions and requirements for the safe and lawful application of RRLD operations.
